The product does not comply with the mandatory information standard for products containing button/coin batteries. The required warning symbol to advise consumers to keep out of children’s reach is not visible as it has been covered by a sticker on the back of the product’s packaging.
The hazards to consumers
There is a risk of serious injury if the battery is swallowed or inserted in the body.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately place the batteries out of reach of children and email Energizer at a76compliance@energizer.com to arrange a compliant warning label to be sent out.
