Reason the product is recalled
On some of the affected models, the clamp on the fuel outlet hose (3/8 inch diameter) of the fuel vapour separator may be loose or could have been installed incorrectly.
The hazards to consumers
The outboard motor may have a fuel leak, potentially causing fire or an explosion.
What consumers should do
Contact the nearest authorized Evinrude/Johnson dealer at www.envinrude.com or contact the Australian office directly on (02) 9794 6600 and make an appointment to have this required engine update. This service will be performed at no charge. For your safety, please do not attempt to use this product until an authorized Evinrude/Johnson dealer has completed the necessary service.
