Why the product is recalled
There is a risk of the internal switch contacting metal bolt causing a metal plate to become live.
What the hazards are to consumers
If the metal plate becomes live, the fan may pose as a fire safety hazard or shock hazard, potentially causing injury to the user.
What consumers should do
Each consumer will be contacted directly to notify them of the recall and the return process.
In the meantime, consumers should immediately discontinue use of fan and should contact Fantech Pty Ltd with any concerns or queries on (03) 9554 7845.
