Electric retractable tonneau cover accessory for Chevrolet Silverado MY2021-2022.
Why the product is recalled
The remote control for the cover does not comply with the mandatory labelling standard for products that contain button/coin batteries.
What the hazards are to consumers
There is a risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death to young children if they gain access to the button batteries and swallow or insert them.
Consumers may be unaware that the product contains a button battery.
What consumers should do
Owners of affected vehicles will be posted a revision to the owner's manual containing the required information and warnings for button batteries and a key tag containing the required information and warnings to attach to the remote control.
