Reasons the product is recalled
An improperly crimped connector in the jacket liner’s heating element and/or certain overlapping wires may cause the back portion of the jacket liner to overheat during use.
The hazards to consumers
If undetected, this condition may damage the jacket and, in rare cases, cause minor burns to the skin.
What consumers should do
Harley-Davidson is recalling the jackets for a free inspection and repair, and if necessary, replacement of the jacket liners.
