10-ply Load Range E Tyres. The tyres have 16 or 17 inch (40.5 or 43 cm) rim diameters and are sold primarily for commercial use on light duty trucks.
Reasons the product is recalled
Tyres included in the recall, if affected by the potential safety issue, may experience in-service belt and tread separations.
The hazards to consumers
Should a separation occur, the driver may experience a vibration and/or a flat tyre. In some circumstances, the driver may lose control of the vehicle without warning, which could increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
What consumers should do
Hercules Tire will arrange for recalled tyres to be replaced free of charge, including mounting and balancing, if needed. Owners should contact their Hercules Tire dealer for more information about this recall.
