Reason the product is recalled
In instances where there is a severe bend in the electrical supply lead at the connector between the detachable controller and the blanket, there is a risk of an electrical short circuit occuring.
The hazards to consumers
Risk of fire and/or electrocution.
What consumers should do
Cease using the electric blanket immediately and disconnect it from the power supply.
Consumers may return the product to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.
Alternatively, GSM International will arrange for a replacement controller or electric blanket to be sent to consumers. Simply phone 1300 373 199 or email service@gsmsales.com.au between 9:00 am–4:00 pm (Mon-Fri AEST).
To assist in the recall process, please inspect your blanket to confirm that the detachable controller is marked with one of the listed model numbers shown above.
