Reason the product is recalled
A mechanical defect in the ACG Belt may result in the belt coming off and becoming entangled in the timing belt assembly causing the engine to suddenly stop.
The hazards to consumers
There is a risk of serious injury or death if the outboard engine stops and cannot be restarted.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using affected engines and contact their nearest authorised Honda Marine Dealer and arrange for their outboard engine to be inspected and repaired, free of charge.
