What are the defects?
When the lawn mower is in use, a short circuit in the electronic system may occur which could be caused by a possibly defective transistor in the motor control. This short circuit leads to the failure of the device and restart attempts will be unsuccessful.
What are the hazards?
If this occurs and the consumer places the lawn mower in a garage or storeroom and does not comply with the operating instructions by removing the battery, and turning the safety key to 0 or removing the key, the short circuit may persist resulting in increased electrical current flowing into an adjacent component. If so, the adjacent component may subsequently overheat and catch on fire.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should cease use of the lawn mower immediately. Affected lawn mowers can be returned to local authorised Husqvarna dealers for repairs.
For further information, consumers should contact their local Husqvarna dealer, or Husqvarna Australia Pty Ltd on technical.service@husqvarna.com.au
