What are the defects?
Thermometer provided in kit reads in degrees Fahrenheit, regulations stipulate that thermometers sold in Australia must read in degrees Celsius.
What are the hazards?
If the person reading the temperature display is not aware that the reading is in degrees Fahrenheit they may unnecessarily seek treatment for a high temperature.
What should consumers do?
If you have this Safety 1st Complete Healthcare Kit please immediately discotinue use of the thermometer and contact IGC Dorel Customer Service to arrange for a free replacement thermometer to be sent directly to you; or alternatively return the kit to the place of purchase for a full refund.
