The cabinet is reasonably compact (42cms wide x 19cms deep x 170cms high), wall mounted, and have tempered glass doors. Purpose-designed to hold CD's, DVD's and videos. Sold since January 2002.
Reasons the product is recalled
Some cabinets have been supplied with mounting screws of the wrong dimension. The screws are used to fix the wall attachment bracket to the top of the cabinet. The use of screws of the wrong dimension may result in the the cabinet not being securely fixed to the wall.
The hazards to consumers
Incorrect mounting screws.
What consumers should do
Customers will be issued with replacement screws and simple repair instructions. Customers may pick up the replacement screws and instructions if they visit an IKEA store; alternatively, call the IKEA Call Centre and have the screws and instructions post.
