Reason the product is recalled
It is possible that the eyelet of the secondary cable of the parking brake may break.
The hazards to consumers
If the cable of the parking brake fails, it will not operate as intended and may cause the vehicle to roll away potentially causing an accident.
What consumers should do
Owners of affected vehicle should contact their nearest dealership who will then conduct a visual inspection of the cables, and if required replace the cables.
Prior to getting their vehicle repaired, Iveco Trucks urges owners of potentially affected vehicles to ensure the handbrake is applied and automatic vehicles are in the park position and manual vehicles have first gear engaged before exiting the vehicle.
