Reasons the product is recalled
Hardware used to hold the brake assembly to the transmission housing can break.
The hazards to consumers
The brakes can fail, posing an injury hazard due to loss of control.
What consumers should do
Stop using the lawn tractor until the service is performed and notifiy any person who may be operating the unit of the problem. Then contact a John Deere dealer as soon as possible to have the hardware inspected and replaced as necessary. This service will be performed at no cost.
