Reasons the product is recalled

There was a failure in one of the manufacturing line's rinsing procedures that could leave a small amount of residue on the contact lens.

The hazards to consumers

Residue could cause irritation on insertion but would not result in any long term health consequences.

If your contact lenses are affected by this recall, please discontinue use and call Johnson & Johnson Pacific Pty Ltd on 1800 002 832 between 7.30am to 6:15pm (Australia AEST) Monday to Friday or visit www.acuvue.com.au at any time for further information. You can also speak to your optometrist for information on how to return the product for replacement.
