The submersible pumps are small electrical pumps designed for use in clean and dirty water applications, The dirty water submersible pumps (SDP range) are used to transfer water from (for example) laundries, ponds and flooded rooms. The clean water submersible pumps (SCP range) are used to empty spas and pools etc.
Reasons the product is recalled
The submersible pumps may, over time, develop cracks in the outer insulation of the float switch and 240V electrical cables. This may allow ingress of water into the electrical cables, which has the potential to result in injury caused by electric shock.

What consumers should do
Immediately stop using the pump, disconnect it from any power source and remove it from any wet or damp environment. Call Karcher Recall Coordinator, Mr Brad Rafferty on 03 9765 2323 to arrange for the return and replacement of the submersible pump free of charge.
