What are the defects?
Due to a production fault on the upper part of the throttle grip housing, the throttle cable wire may slide out of the deflection roller and become wedged between the deflection roller and the housing. This blocks the throttle slide and results in an uncontrollable riding situation.
What are the hazards?
This blocks the throttle slide and results in an uncontrollable riding situation. This situation may be life threatening or may result in injury to the driver.
What should consumers do?
Do not ride the motorbike until the problem is corrected.
If you are an owner of one of these vehicles please contact your authorised KTM dealer and provide that last 6 digits of your vin number to arrange a booking . KTM Australia will be notifying affected owners by way of a letter sent to the address on the warranty registration.
