Reason the product is recalled
Repetitive bending stress during operation of the vehicles may cause the thin plate seat belt stay to fracture and it may not satisfy the strength required for the seat belt to hold secure the vehicle operator or passenger.
The hazards to consumers
If the seat belt stays fracture, there is a risk that the seat belt may release, putting the operator or passenger at risk of injury.
What consumers should do
Owners of affected vehicles should stop using the vehicles.
Owners will be contacted by Kubota at their warranty-registered address and asked to schedule a time to return their vehicles to their nearest Kubota dealership for replacement of the seat belt stays, free of charge.
Further information is available from your nearest authorised Kubota dealership or from Kubota Tractor Australia on 03 9394 4400 or from http://www.kubota.com.au
