Reason the product is recalled

Some brake booster pumps may be manufactured improperly, and may cause the brake assist function to stop operating while driving.

The hazards to consumers

If the brake booster pump stops operating, multiple warning lights and messages will illuminate, and/or audible chimes may sound. Braking assist could be lost completely after several brake pedal applications, causing an increase in the vehicles stopping distance, increasing the risk of an accident.

What consumers should do

Lexus will contact owners of affected vehicles to advise consumers to arrange a time for the vehicle to be repaired at their preferred Lexus Dealer, free of charge.

Consumers who require more information can contact their preferred Lexus Dealer or contact the Lexus Customer Assistance Centre on 1800 023 009 (Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm AEST).
