Reason the product is recalled
If the brake and accelerator pedals are pressed simultaneously while driving, the vehicle may go into 'limp home mode', where the road speed and engine speeds are restricted. The engine, however, does not stall or stop.
The hazards to consumers
If the vehicle goes into a 'limp home mode' the driver will not get enough vehicle speed in response to using the throttle. This may lead to an accident and endanger the safety of the vehicle occupants and other road users.
