Affected units may develop cracks around the fuel tank outlet hose nipple, which can result in fuel leakage.

Fuel leakage presents a fire risk.
What consumers should do
Owners should immediately cease using models G1100 & G1700i and contact Makita (Australia) PTY LTD on 1300 361 690 between 8 am and 5 pm (EST) to arrange a free-of-charge modification. Spare parts will be available from 15 November 2010.
