Reason the product is recalled
The treadmill does not comply with the mandatory standard 'Trade Practices (Consumer Product Safety Standard) (Treadmills) Regulations 2009'. The treadmill does not have the required warning sticker attached.
The hazards to consumers
Absence of the warning sticker means that the user may not be aware of potential hazards and the treadmill may be used in an unsafe manner. The user or bystanders may suffer friction burns if contact is made with the moving mat.
What consumers should do
Owners of affected treadmills will be contacted by the supplier and a technician will visit to apply the required warning sticker to the treadmill.
