Reason the product is recalled
In some instances, the fabric around the harness adjuster mechanism may get caught in the mechanism, allowing the shoulder harnesses to loosen without lifting the harness adjuster. In addition, the A4 model does not have the correct certification.
The hazards to consumers
If the harness is loosened the child restraint is no longer effective in restraining the child in the event of an accident or sudden braking, increasing the risk of injury to the child.
What consumers should do
Consumers need to check their seat to determine if it has 3 height markers on the left hand side of the cover. If your car seat is affected, Dorel will provide customers with a free replacement Maxi-Cosi Convertible Car Seat.
