Reason the product is recalled

The products were supplied in the Australian market without an Australian Registry for Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) registration and were also labelled to contain Acorus calamus.

The hazards to consumers

Acorus calamus is included in Schedule 10 to the Medicines and Poison Standard, which lists substances considered to pose an unacceptable risk to health.  Acorus calamus is a known carcinogen (substance that could potentially cause cancer).

What consumers should do

KL4 Pty Ltd has contacted affected consumers. Consumers should immediately stop using this product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
