See a list of details to help identify the product.
Reason the product is recalled
The connection to the primer bulb check valve may have the clamp incorrectly installed. This may cause a bunching or pinching of the material under the clamp, resulting in a leak path for air to enter the fuel system, leading to a lean fuel condition. The leak path may also create a fuel leak when the fuel bulb is used for priming the engine fuel system.
The hazards to consumers
Leaking fuel presents a fire hazard.
What consumers should do
Stop using the engine and contact your nearest Mercury/Mariner dealer to arrange for the engine to be inspected and, if appropriate, rectified.
