What are the defects?
The pocket bike does not comply with the requirements set out in Consumer Protection Notice No. 24 of 2011. There is a permanent ban on minature motorbikes with unsafe design features.
What are the hazards?
Non-conformities in the braking system, footpegs and steering may result in loss of control at speed, possibly causing serious injury or death.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the pocket bike and contact their nearest Mitchells Store on 1800 808 209 or at sales@mitchells.net.au for a full refund.
