HP Modular power distribution units used primarily in HP rack systems, but also sold separately and able to be installed in racks from other vendors. The units have part numbers: E7670A; E7671A; E7672A; E7674A.

Reason the product is recalled
The safety ground within some units could become detached; this risk could increase over time due to stress from environmental conditions. Without proper grounding there is a possibility that a person could be exposed to high than expected levels of leakage.
The hazards to consumers
Electric Shock.
What consumers should do
HP will contact all customers by phone, letter and/or direct visit to schedule a service call to inspect and, if affected , fit a supplemental grounding kit as a temporary solution to address the issue. The unit will then be replaced free of charge.
