Reason the product is recalled

The fuel suction hose between the fuel tank and the carburetor had, in some units within the affected serial number range, become pinched during assembly at the factory.

The hazards to consumers

If the defect is present a small hole may form in the fuel suction hose, allowing fuel to leak out.

What consumers should do

Consumers should check to see if they have an affected chainsaw. Consumers with affected chainsaws should stop using the product and return it to their nearest Stihl servicing dealer to be checked and repaired.
