The zip on the product does not have a child-resistant slide fastener, and the product does not have the required warning label.

The hazards to consumers

In contravention of the mandatory safety standard for bean bags, the product is not fitted with a child-resistant slide fastener, or the required warning label and may therefore provide access to the beads, which pose a potential choking hazard to young children.

What consumers should do

Consumers should return the product to MUJI stores for a full refund. Consumers may return the products either by returning them directly to their nearest MUJI Store (at Emporium or Chadstone), or by contacting MUJI Retail (Australia) Pty Ltd to arrange the return/collection of the product.
