Reason the product is recalled
The internal connection to the earth pin prong is deformed in some products of the affected batch, making them susceptible to not providing an earth connection.
The hazards to consumers
In some circumstances, the fault could result in an electric shock.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately discontinue using the product and:
(i) Switch off the power at the power point
(ii) Remove the Powerline adapter and any device from the socket
(iii) Check whether the serial number (S/N) on the base of the adapter is from the affected batch.
If the product is from the affected batch, consumers should contact NetComm Wireless to arrange for a replacement or a refund by either calling 1800 110 168, emailing recall@netcommwireless.com or following the instructions on the company’s website.
