Powerline Ethernet adapter with pass-through power socket for additional devices
What are the defects?
The internal connection to the earth pin prong is deformed in some products of the affected batch; making them susceptible to not providing an earth connection.
What are the hazards?
In some circumstances the fault could result in electric shock.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately discontinue using the product and :
i. Switch off the power at the power point
ii. Remove the Powerline adapter and any device from the socket
iii. Check whether the serial number (S/N) on the base of the adapter is from the affected batch
If the product is from the affected batch, consumers should then contact NetComm Wireless to arrange a replacement or a refund by either calling 1800 110 168, emailing recall@netcommwireless.com or following the instructions on the company’s website
