What are the defects?
The switch contact mechanism may overheat due to an internal fault; this could result in damage of the switch mechanism, internal arcing and potential damage to the enclosure and cables which could allow access to live parts.
What are the hazards?
If the defect occurs there is the risk of fire and electric shock.

Electrical Contractors/Installers:
Defective DC Solar Isolator switches type KDA-432 and KDM4-32 are required to be replaced. PV systems with these switches need to be shut down and safe isolation procedures need to be followed. For further details contact NHP Electrical Engineering Products Pty Ltd by phone or email.
