The product’s button battery compartment is not adequately secured, and the button battery is accessible.
The hazards to consumers
If young children gain access to the button batteries and ingest them, they are likely to suffer severe internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness or death. Button batteries also pose a choking hazard to young children.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and store it in a safe place out of reach of children.
Consumers should head to http://www.orbitkey.com.au/trackerrecall to register their contact details and to make arrangements to return the product for a replacement product free of charge. The replacement product is expected to be available from July 2022.
