This is a mains voltage LED spot light lamp used primarily in professional applications such as the hospitality industry.
Why the product is recalled
A small quantity of product has been found to present electrical current leakage to the metal housing. This electrical current leakage can occur approximately half an hour after the lamp has been switched on and could result in the lamp becoming live.
What the hazards are to consumers
If the lamp becomes live and is touched this will result in an electric shock.
What consumers should do
If installed, end-users are advised to ensure the power is switched off and remove the lamp from the light fitting.
End-users should return any Master LED spot MV GU10 8W lamps that they hold for immediate reimbursement via credit card (VISA or MasterCard) or EFT.
