Reasons the product is recalled
The product does not comply with the labelling requirements of mandatory standard AS/NZS 2640:1994 Portable ramps for vehicles.
The hazards to consumers
Portable ramps that do not comply with the mandatory standard pose a crushing hazard. This may result in serious injury or death.
What consumers should do
Point-Blank Automotive will contact all affected consumers directly via email to make arrangement for consumers to be supplied the instructions for use, and a permanent adhesive backed warning badge to be affixed to each ramp. Consumers can also email recalls@point-blank.com.au to obtain the relevant materials.
