Reason the product is recalled
The battery compartment is not adequately secured and the button batteries in the product are easily accessible.
The hazards to consumers
If young children gain access to the button batteries and ingest them, they may suffer internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness and even death. In addition, the batteries may pose a choking hazard to young children.
What consumers should do
Consumers who received a free promotional bicycle light should dispose of the light by wrapping the product in paper and disposing of it in the household rubbish. After disposal, consumers should notify ssmart@raa.com.au so that the safe disposal of the product can be monitored.
