The microphone presents a potential low-voltage electric shock or burn hazard.
The hazards to consumers
Electric current may be conducted through water or moisture from exposed speaker wiring to the user (coxswain) and cause a low-voltage electric shock or burn from contact with the metal boom of the microphone.
What consumers should do
Consumers should cease using the product immediately and return it to to Neielsen Kellerman Australia for a free upgraded replacement.

This recall includes any NK R2 microphone with an exposed black metal boom. Microphones manufactured after September 1, 2012 have a rubber-covered microphone boom and a yellow warning tag on the cable and are not covered by the recall. BNC microphones are not covered by this recall.
