Why the product is recalled
The dropouts on the suspension fork can break.
What the hazards are to consumers
If the defect occurs during use the rider may lose control of the bicycle, potentially resulting in a serious fall injury.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately stop using bicycle with affected forks. They are asked to return their bicycles to any official SCOTT dealer.
Remedy:
NCX: The dealer will exchange the lower end of the SR Suntour NCX fork.
NEX: The dealer will exchange the quick release of the front fork and also add a washer between the fork and the quick release.
The above mentioned actions will be done at no costs for consumers.
