Shell Degreasing Fluid in 200 and 20 litre packs manufactured between 31 December 2003 and 4 March 2004 at Shell's Lubes Blending Plant in Brisbane with the following batch numbers: Degreasing Fluid 200 litre Batch Nos: 1399184; 1397837; 1396707; 1396090.

Reasons the product is recalled

Degreasing Fluid will typically have a flash point exceeding 60.5 degrees Celsius, while the batches set out above could have a flash point as low as 55 degrees Celsius. The flash point represents the lowest temperature at which the product will emit vapour.

Shell is recommending to its customers that if they are not satisfied that their storage and handling procedures in respect of the identified product meet the requirements of the legislation and AS1940 then they should quarantine the product and call Shell.
