What are the defects?
The warning label attached to the product contains a typographical error.
The warning label contains the line 'A standard tow ball or vehicle tie-down point is 'now' designed for this purpose and may result in the strap or vehicle component detaching from a vehicle and striking and seriously injuring or killing a person.'
The actual wording should be: 'A standard tow ball or vehicle tie-down point is 'not' designed for this purpose and may result in the strap or vehicle component detaching from a vehicle and striking and seriously injuring or killing a person.'

What are the hazards?
If the soft shackle is attached to an unsuitable anchor point such as a standard tow ball and used for vehicle recovery, the tow ball and recovery strap can shear and recoil at great force. This can pose a risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants or bystanders.

Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
