Specialized 1st generation Turbo Levo and Kenevo electric mountain bike battery packs
Sold between 1 November 2017 and 1 November 2022
Sold with the below bicycle models or purchased separately.
Models:
Levo FSR model years 2016-2018
Levo HT model years 2018-2021
Kenevo FSR model years 2018-2019
Specialized M1 Battery model years 2016-2021
To identify whether a battery pack is affected by this recall, remove the battery pack from the bicycle and look for the following on the label:
1. Made date of G7, H7, I7, J7, K7, L7, A8, B8, C8, D8, E8, F8, G8, H8, I8, J8, K8, L8, A9, B9, C9; and
2. Part number from the list below:

What are the defects?
Pressure washing can cause water to penetrate the seal around the battery's control panel and may cause a short circuit.
What are the hazards?
A short circuit increases the risk of a fire, which may result in injury or property damage.
What should consumers do?
To determine whether a battery pack is affected by this recall, remove the battery pack and check the label printed on it. For instructions on how to remove and check the battery pack, please visit www.specialized.com/safety-notices
Affected products should not be charged or used. Consumers should return affected battery packs to their nearest authorised Specialized retailer for a repair, free of charge.
