Stout crankarms (cranks) installed as original equipment on Model Year 2018 Specialized branded Fuse Comp 6Fattie/29 bicycles. Entry-level alloy cranks with a direct mount chainring for general mountain biking use. “Stout” is written on the crankarm.

Some Stout Cranks may not have been manufactured to specifications which could result in the driveside crankarm disengaging.
The hazards to consumers
Risk of injury if the driveside crankarm disengages during riding.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using the affected bikes immediately and return them to their nearest Authorised Specialized Retailer for free installation of a new driveside replacement crankarm.
