Reason the product is recalled

The sunglasses do not comply with the labelling requirements of the 'Consumer Protection Notice No.13 of 2003 - Consumer product safety standards: Sunglasses and fashion spectacles'.

The products may be missing required labelling identifying the lens category and relevant description, which indicates the amount of UV radiation protection provided by the glasses.

The hazards to consumers

Consumers need to be informed through labelling what level of protection the sunglasses provide. The incorrect level of protection can result in vision impairment or exposure to very high levels of sunlight.

What consumers should do

Consumers should contact their nearest Oscar Wylee retail store to receive the required labels.
