Reasons the product is recalled
Wipes with the affected timestamp within the affected batch of baby wipes was manufactured without preservative. As a result, mould may grow on the baby wipes.
The hazards to consumers
Exposure to penicillin within the mould spores may cause an adverse reaction or health complications. This may pose a risk to people allergic to penicillin, people with weakened immune systems or those with sensitive skin, including babies.
What consumers should do
Consumers should stop using products from the affected batch and contact Thankyou Group for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to provide a photograph of the product, if possible, before disposing of the product.
