Select styles of "The First Years Pathway B550AU" folding adjustable booster seat manufactured after 1st June 2012. There is a date of manufacture label on the underside of the booster seat.

First Years Booster Seat and Batch Identification

Reason the product is recalled

Batches 22 and 23 of the tether anchor bracket are faulty. The tether anchor bracket connects the car-seat tether strap to the car anchorage bolt.

The hazards to consumers

If the tether anchor bracket fails in the event of a collision, the performance of the car restraint may be impacted, increasing the risk of injury to the child.

What consumers should do

If you are using the tether anchor bracket supplied with the booster seat you should check the batch number stamped on it. If the batch number is "22" or "23", cease using the booster seat immediately. Contact TOMY by phone on 1800 492 236 or email serviceaus@tomy.com to arrange to receive a replacement tether anchor bracket.
