Reason the product is recalled
The product does not comply with the mandatory standard for products containing button/coin batteries.
The torch has no warning label and the battery compartment is not secure.
The hazards to consumers
Consumers may be unaware that the product contains a button battery.
If young children gain access to button batteries and ingest them, they are likely to suffer severe internal burn injuries, which can result in serious injury or death.
Button batteries also pose a choking hazard to young children.
What consumers should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the torch and keep it out of reach of children. Return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement prize.
