What are the defects?
If damaged or dropped, the battery compartment may break open, exposing the button cell battery.
What are the hazards?
If young children gain access to the button battery and ingest it, they may suffer internal burn injuries, which can result in serious illness and even death. Additionally, the button battery may pose a choking hazard to young children.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and dispose of it safely.
