The dye used in the cotton piping of the green and brown placemats contains hazardous azo-dyes.
What are the hazards?
Certain azo-dyes may release carcinogenic compounds and it is recommend that exposure to these dyes be eliminated or minimised.
What should consumers do?
Customers should stop using these products and return them to a Villeroy & Boch sales outlet or to Villeroy & Boch by post for a full refund.
