Why the product is recalled
In certain extreme cases (strong torsion of the ear or violent shock against a hard surface), one of the elephant’s rotating ears may detach. This exposes a small, blunt, metal rod, partially covered in white plastic, which remains attached to the toy.
What the hazards are to consumers
If the ear comes off the toy, the small, plastic coated, blunt metal protrusion may cause pain if pressed against the skin.
What consumers should do
Consumers should go to https://support.vtech.com.au/ and raise a ticket on the support portal. Consumers will be given instructions as to how to return the product. Consumers will be offered a full refund (including postage).
