The sunglasses do not have a lens category label in accordance with Consumer Protection Notice No. 13 or 2003 and No. 4 of 2005.
What are the hazards?
Consumers need to be informed through labelling what level of protection the sunglasses provide. The incorrect level of protection can result in vision impairment, or exposure to very high levels of sunlight.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should stop using the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
