Reason the product is recalled
It has been determined that upon the change to a new moulding tool, the WHT20-21 base pockets are not to specification i.e. they are too deep. This allows for excessive movement of the terminal in the pocket and for the potential for the circuit to close when the switch is in the 'OFF' position.
The hazards to consumers
Electrocution
What consumers should do
Customers are advised to ensure that all electrical circuits, where the WHB 355 Weathershield switch is installed are fully disconnected (using voltage detectors) before conducting any electrical installation or maintenance work.
